NZUAG | Improving Coordination Across the Road Corridor
The New Zealand Utilities Advisory Group (NZUAG) is undertaking a cross-sector review focused on improving coordination, planning, and delivery of activity across the road corridor. The aim is to reduce disruption and improve outcomes for communities, road users, and industry.
This work was initiated following the Government’s announcement on cutting roadwork delays and improving coordination around buried pipes and cables.

Since the initial announcement, NZUAG has completed an industry engagement phase, working with utilities, road controlling authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to better understand current challenges and identify practical opportunities for improvement.
The insights gathered through this engagement are now being consolidated into a report outlining key findings and recommended next steps. This report is scheduled to be provided to the Minister shortly.
Further updates, background information, and supporting material are available via the NZUAG website.
