New Level 4 TTM Micro-credentials Announced
23 April 2026
Connexis has announced three new Level 4 Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) micro-credentials, supporting the sector’s shift toward a risk-based framework. Designed for frontline roles, these credentials strengthen capability across knowledge, supervision, and quality assurance.
Last month, New Zealand's infrastructure training provider Connexis announced the launch of three new Level 4 Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) micro-credentials (MCs). These new TTM MCs align with the shift towards a risk-based framework and are designed for frontline teams.
These are:
- MC in TTM: Foundation Specialisation Requirements (Level 4) NZQA# 5285-1: For people who require knowledge of the foundation principles for TTM to explain the requirements for the TTM system.
- MC in TTM: Monitoring TTM Controls (Level 4) NZQA# 5286-1: For people who monitor and maintain pre-established static TTM controls for an activity, and contribute to the risk verification, monitoring, and quality assurance of the activity.
- MC in TTM: Mobile Supervision (Level 4) NZQA# 5287-1: For people to deliver a safe mobile operation who manage the risk and supervise the deployment of personnel and equipment.
The three new micro-credentials join their suite of other TTM micro-credentials launched mid 2025 and late 2024:
- TTM Applying Controls to Low-risk, Low-impact Activities in the Road Reserve (Level 3)
- TTM Assist with TTM within the Road Reserve (Level 3)
- TTM Mobile Operations (Level 3)
- TTM Risk Assessment (Level 4)
- TTM Design (Level 4)
