We are seeking a talented, motivated Chief Executive Officer to shape and drive activity for the Temporary Traffic Management Industry Steering Group (ISG). This role is at the heart of a sector-wide shift, transforming New Zealand’s approach to temporary traffic management, enhancing safety, and fostering collaboration across industry and government.

What You’ll Do:

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational management and implementation of the objectives of the ISG and its workstreams. You will be responsible for helping the ISG connect with and support a broad range of stakeholders, from industry bodies, frontline TTM workers and senior executives in the contracting industry to local and central government, and the public. You will ensure the value and delivery of the ISG’s work is clearly communicated and widely understood.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, government agencies, and other organizations.
  • Lead the organisation in achieving its operational and financial goals.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive membership and fundraising strategy.
  • Lead, inspire, and manage a team of specialist suppliers, employees and volunteers.
  • Implement and manage policies and procedures to improve organisational performance. 

About You:

You have a proven track record in leadership with sound financial management skills. You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Your proactive approach and ability to manage relationships at all levels will be key to your success in this role, as will your strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. You will be comfortable building consensus and fostering a collaborative team environment. Experience in sectors such as infrastructure, construction, or central and local government would be advantageous, as well as non-profit or membership-based entities.
